The event "Space Meets Automotive Industry 2011" organised by MST Aerospace GmbH at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt gave 200 space technology providers and users the opportunity to exchange their thoughts on developments and potential applications in the space and automotive sectors.

 

ESA astronaut Dr. Reinhold Ewald (Columbus Controll Centre, Oberpfaffenhofen) opened the event.

 

Mag. Gerald Pöllmann (General Manager Aerospace & Non-Automotive, MAGNA STEYR Fahrzeugtechnik AG & Co. KG) gave a keynote speech on "Technological Synergies from Aerospace to Automotive Industry".
